White Lake Success for One2Tri Racing

Michael Starkey has become One2Tri Racings star duathlete! Not three weeks ago, the New Orleans Ironman 70.3 cancelled the swim portion of the race due to choppy water.  This past Saturday, the oh-so-popular crystal clear water of White Lake was laden with such thick fog it would have made for dangerous conditions.  As a result, White Lake was also made into a duathlon with a time trial start.

Luckily for Michael, he’s a super strong cyclist and runner and turned in some amazing results, yet again on the duathlon course at White Lake.  Michael turned in a 2:22:27 bike split (23.6 mph - 21^st overall) and a 1:25.52 run split (6:33/mile pace - 5^th overall) for a total time of 3:50:42 for a 1^st place age group and 9^th place overall (of 367)!

Kim Eagens and Greg Shore took on the more “reasonable” distance at the White Lake Sprint this past Sunday – swim and all!  Kim and Greg posted solid times despite a stacked field of competition!   

Kim Eagens turned came home with a 2^nd place age group spot and an 11^th place overall (of 214) with a 1:18:01 posting the 1^st fastest bike and run split in her age group with a 37:59 (22.2 mph) and a 21:13 5k (6:50/mile pace).

Greg Shore turned in a phenomenal race with a 1:11:09 – the 7^th fastest male of the day (of 249) and the 2^nd fastest in his age group!  Greg posted a 19:02 5k (6:08/mile pace) which was the fastest in his age group by 15 seconds!
