Now Introducing - Michael Beacham and Jim Kunevicius!

Michael Beacham navigates the woods and trails unlike any other One2Tri Racing team member.  Michael has been adventure racing since 2000 and has completed numerous events of all distances including the Endorphine Fix a 40 hour race, thirteen 24-hour events, multiple 12-hour events and various other shorter races.  Michael has also completed Ironman Florida in 2008 but was plagued by a back injury in 2009 that kept him from racing for much of the 2009 and 2010 seasons.  Post surgery in January 2010, Michael is back in the saddle and hoping for a healthy 2011 season.  Michael’s career highlight came when he completed the E-Fix in WV, placed 1st overall in the SOAR adventure race two consecutive years, and completed IM Florida in 2008.   Michael is a very strong all around athlete but is looking to qualify for the CheckPoint Tracker National Adventure Race Championship in 2011.

Michael was born and raised in North Carolina and currently resides in Charlotte.  He is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, RRCA certified running coach and a certified massage therapist and has been the Fitness Director at the Charlotte Athlete Club since 2009.

Let's meet Kim Eagens, Tom O'Donnell and Chad Crockford!

Kim Eagens is One2Tri Racing’s collegiate volleyball player turned triathlete.  Kim has been running, primarily for fitness, since ending her Elon University volleyball career in 2000.  She competed in her first running event, the Turkey Trot 8k in Charlotte, NC in 2002 and has had a passion for running and fitness ever since.  In 2009 Kim suffered a fractured femur and was “forced” to finally learn how to swim.   Within 9 months, she completed her first triathlon, her first half Ironman, and her first Ironman!  Kim has now completed Ironman Arizona, (most of) Ironman Louisville, and the Beach2Battleship Iron Distance triathlon, as well as 3 half Ironman events and a slew of other shorter distance races.  Kim’s 2010 season highlight was a Boston Marathon qualification in March at the Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon and a 4th overall finish at B2B in November.  Kim’s triathlon strength is her cycling, and she hopes 2011 holds improved swim times and more consistent run times throughout the season.

Kim was born and raised in Westchester County, NY and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.  Kim has been employed for Wachovia – now Wells Fargo Bank - in the Real Estate Capital Markets business since 2005.  She is also a certified USAT Level 1 Coach and a USA Cycling Level 3 Certified Coach and works with One2Tri Multisport Coaching.

Tom was born in Abington, PA and currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife (and fellow One2Tri athlete) Shannon and his two children, Tommy and Catherine.  Tom graduated from Vermont Law School in 1996 and currently practices Corporate Finance and Securities Law at Moore & Van Allen in Charlotte.

Chad Crockford brings a tremendous amount of speed to the One2Tri Racing team, despite having no high school, collegiate or trained running experience.  After years of running “just for fitness” Chad decided to give racing a try and was hooked after his first marathon in 2008.  Since then Chad has run in local and other national races making quite a name for himself.  Chad is coming off a very successful 2010 managing to PR both is marathon and 5k times with respective times of 2:53 (that’s fast!) and 16.34 (and that’s really fast!).  Chad also tried his hand at triathlon in 2010 and came home with a first place age group finish at the Cane Creek Triathlon in Charlotte, NC.  Throughout 2011, Chad will look to continue to improve his 5k, half marathon, and marathon times and will most likely give longer distance triathlon a go at the SC Half Ironman in October.

Chad comes to Charlotte from Newark, NY and resides with his wife, and fellow One2Tri Racing teammate, Danielle.  He currently works for Legal Aid of North Carolina as a staff attorney and has been with the company since 2007.

Tannery Brook Partners

The One2Tri Racing Team would not be nearly as successful in just its first year of existence if it wasn't for its partnership with Tannery Brook Partners.

Many people have wondered who Tannery Brook is, what they do, and how Tannery Brook and the One2Tri Racing Team joined forces - so here's the skinny.

To start, Tannery Brook Partners is a boutique investment bank offering advisory services to clients in the commercial and corporate real estate sectors.  The firm specializes in providing integrated and comprehensive solutions to those trying to navigate the dislocation in the real estate financial markets.

Tannery Brook is led by  Bill Green, Chuck WolterBrett SmithBill Cohane and Chris Troutman.  These guys have more than 95 years of combined real estate experience and have been working and investing together for almost 15 years.  Together, they built one of the most prominent real estate platforms in the world while working at Wachovia Securities and its predecessors.  Starting with only 25 employees, by 2004, the Partners had created one of the leading real estate platforms in the world at Wachovia, with over 500 employees!  During their tenure, the combined commercial real estate debt and equity transactions totaled $182Bn!

Check out aFebruary 2010 article published about Tannery Brook!

All of the partners at Tannery Brook have led, and continue to lead, very active lives and are  parents of children ranging from elementary school to high school/college age.  They understand the importance of physical fitness and maximizing an athletes potential.

Let's meet some of our 2011 winners - Greg Shore, Keith Mrocheck, Tom Patch and Danielle Crockford!

The 2011 season has started off very well for the One2Tri Racing squad with several team members already claiming victories at local events!

Let's get to know our One2Tri Racing 2011 winners…so far!  As you recall, Greg Shore, Keith Mrocheck, Tom Patch and Danielle Crockford have claimed either age group or overall victories to date…

Greg Shore has many years left in his triathlon and running career to make a well-known name for himself.  Having run for Belmont Abbey College for four years, Greg qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2008 with a blazing time of 3:08 at the Thunder Road Marathon in Charlotte, NC.  Like many, Greg’s love for running has morphed into a passion for triathlon.  In his 3-year triathlon career, Greg has qualified for USAT Age Group Nationals three times already ; twice in the intermediate distance and once in the long-course distance!  Greg prefers the Olympic distance triathlon and his ideal running distance is the 8k.  Greg kicked off his 2011 season on a positive foot with an overall win at the YMCA Siskey Mini Sprint triathlon and a 1st place age group finish at the Charlotte Running Company Trail Race 4-mile event, despite not considering himself a “trail-runner”.  Greg hopes to get stronger, faster and smarter throughout his 2011 season and is also looking to run a sub 16:30 independent 5k as well as a 17:30 5k off his bike in a triathlon.

After growing up in Boynton Beach, FL, Greg currently lives outside of Charlotte, NC in Matthews.  Greg currently works as an accountant for Filters Fast.

Greg’s 2011 tentative race season includes:

Siskey Indoor Mini Triathlon – 12/31/2010 (1st overall)
CRC 4-mile Trail Race – 1/22/2011 (1st AG)

Keith Mrocheck is One2Tri Racing’s resident expert trail runner that can cycle with the best of them.  Keith has been running since high school and subsequently spent one-year competing for the Denison University cross country team.  Since, Keith has completed more races than we have room to list but prefers longer (13+ mile) trail races.  His career highlights have generally come in the Uwharrie Mountain Run 20-mile Trail Race, where he has placed 2nd overall in both 2008 and 2010.  Keith started the 2011 season off on the right foot with an overall victory at the Charlotte Running Company (our Sponsor!) 9-mile Trail Race at the US National White Water Center with an incredible time of 1:01:24.  Keith is looking for triathlon revenge in 2011 after a tough day at Ironman 70.3 Augusta in 2010, is looking to post a sub-3:00 road-marathon time and complete his first ultra-distance 100-mile event in either Leadville, Coloroda or the Wasatch mountains in Utah.

Keith currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife Mary Lee and his little girl,  Ellington.  Keith was born in Somerville, NJ and later headed south to study law at Washington and Lee University until 1998.  Keith is currently a  lawyer/shareholder in Winstead PC’s Finance & Banking Practice Group where he focuses his practice primarily on finance (often real-estate related) transactional work.

You can often find Tom Patch, One2Tri Racing’s ultra-distance guru, spending the majority of his 48-hour weekends running – very far!  Tom brings years and years of knowledge and experience to the Racing team; he has completed 20+ ultra-distance races, including a 24-hour race, a 100-mile race, eight 50-mile events, 25 marathons and countless others.  Tom’s running career began in 2005 when he completed his first half-marathon in an effort to get active and lose some weight.  His desire to lose weight has since evolved into a passion and excellence for long-distance events.  His career highlights include completing his first 100-mile race in less than 24-hours and completing four races of marathon-distance or greater throughout October in 2009, PR’ing in three of the distances (marathon, 50k and 40-miler) and qualifying for the coveted Boston and NYC Marathon’s.  Tom plans to dust off his swim goggles and bike cleats after a 4-year hiatus and try his hand at the Latta Sprint triathlon in 2011.

Tom was born and raised in Washington, DC and now resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife of 24 years, Valerie.  He has worked with Bank of America since 1977 where he is in Human Resources.  Tom is also an RRCA certified running coach.
