Now Introducing - Michael Beacham and Jim Kunevicius!

Michael Beacham navigates the woods and trails unlike any other One2Tri Racing team member.  Michael has been adventure racing since 2000 and has completed numerous events of all distances including the Endorphine Fix a 40 hour race, thirteen 24-hour events, multiple 12-hour events and various other shorter races.  Michael has also completed Ironman Florida in 2008 but was plagued by a back injury in 2009 that kept him from racing for much of the 2009 and 2010 seasons.  Post surgery in January 2010, Michael is back in the saddle and hoping for a healthy 2011 season.  Michael’s career highlight came when he completed the E-Fix in WV, placed 1st overall in the SOAR adventure race two consecutive years, and completed IM Florida in 2008.   Michael is a very strong all around athlete but is looking to qualify for the CheckPoint Tracker National Adventure Race Championship in 2011.

Michael was born and raised in North Carolina and currently resides in Charlotte.  He is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, RRCA certified running coach and a certified massage therapist and has been the Fitness Director at the Charlotte Athlete Club since 2009.

Find Michael at the following races in 2011:

Jim Kunevicius is One2Tri Racing’s entrepreneurial soccer-player turned cyclist / triathlete.  Not only did Jim play NCAA Division 1 soccer and become a two-time Academic All-American at UNC Charlotte, he built (and later sold) his own software company (Vicious Systems) while still a full-time student.  Having lived and worked in Germany for much of 2010, Jim brings international racing experience to the One2Tri team.  Jim’s career highlight came when he completed Ironman Cozumel in 2010 despite having his transition bag stolen from T2 leaving him to run the 26.2 in a generous spectator's Nike basketball shoes.  Jim has also completed the Tyrol Half Ironman in the Austrian Alps, and several other sprint and Olympic distance events.  In addition to triathlon, Jim cycled across Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand over the course of 2 weeks.  Jim is looking to compete at the top of his age group and plans to take on Ironman Lake Placid and Ironman Cozumel again in 2011.

Jim was born in Cleveland, OH and ventured south to Charlotte in 1994.  Jim currently manages global technology projects and splits his time between Frankfurt, Germany and Charlotte, NC.
